The current bantamweight champion of the world, Aljamain Sterling, recently disappointed many fans by declaring that his next title defence against Sean O'Malley may not happen due to his health complications. Sterling still seems to be injured after his recent clash against Henry Cejudo, and after Sterling's doubtful indications, Dana White had to step in and shed some light on the on-going discussions.

UFC fans are already very excited about the bantamweight clash fixed for August, and it will be very interesting to see whether or not there's an opponent replacement for Sean O'Malley.

Dana White reacts to Aljamain Sterling's comments

Recently in the post-fight press conference, Dana White spoke about Aljamain Sterling's recent comments and confirmed that the fight is still on.

"Henry Cejudo calls me and says", White said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. "' This little p*ssy doesn't want to fight, I'll take the fight. I'm throwing my hat in right now. Let's do it, I'll fight O'Malley,'" He further said.

"And I think we got his manager on the phone and stuff like that, it's just Aljo's one of those guys that just can't get out of his own way. Apparently, he's in for the fight. Why he said that, who knows? The fight is on. The fight is absolutely, positively on." On a brighter note, fans shouldn't be too disappointed if Aljamain Sterling does not show up as Henry Cejudo is ready to step in, and that, too, would be a lovely match to watch.

In the forthcoming days, we will have more updates on Aljamain Sterling's Injury and hear from him if he's capable of fighting in August or not. Sean O'Malley won't mind fighting Henry Cejudo, and he shouldn't be too surprised by Cejudo's call out.

According to Dana White, every title matches have a backup fighter, and soon we will all find out more about the fighter willing to cut weight and serve as the backup fighter.
