The ‘notorious’ Conor McGregor is one of the most desired opponents in the realm of UFC and outside, he is expected to clash against Michael Chandler before the end of 2023, and his next move after the comeback knock will be very interesting to see.

The second-ranked welterweight contender, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington, recently showed his interest in crossing paths with McGregor. Colby Covington is ready for his title shot against Leon Edwards, and after finishing business with the current welterweight champion, he looks forward to squaring off against Conor McGregor.

Colby Covington’s thoughts on Conor McGregor

Recently in an interview with MSCS Media, Colby Covington spoke about Conor Mcgregor in-depth and shared his personal view on how he looks at him as a fighter. Very interestingly, he had nothing bad to say about Conor McGregor and looks forward to fighting him in the near future.

I hope to be able to cross paths with him and fight him someday after I win this world title against Leon ‘Edward Scissorhands Scott’ from the U.K. That could be my next fight in line. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Conor and what he’s done in this sport.

He’s made it possible for every fighter. It’s trickled down, what he’s done in the sport – the money and everything”. If the UFC can make this match happen, fans will absolutely go wild, and it will be noted as one of the most intense matches in the history of the sport. McGregor wants to be more active, and we will soon find out if he walks his talk.
