‘The Prince’ Amir Albazi has successfully opened new doors in his thriving UFC career after claiming a victory over the 3rd ranked flyweight contender Kai Kara-France. The match was very close, and after 5 rounds of explosive action, the judges declared Amir Albazi the winner by split decision.

Some fans believe Kai Kara-France got ‘robbed’ as they had him as the clear winner. Amir Albazi isn’t exactly pleased with the fact that it was a close knock; he was expecting to finish it in dominating style.

His intentions for the future are very clear, he wants only one thing, and that’s to be a title challenger for the UFC flyweight belt.

Amir Albazi on winning the match

Immediately after winning the match, Albazi assessed his match against Kai Kara-France and revealed his plan for the future; he wants to fight the winner of Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja later on this year.

“I know it was a close fight,” Albazi said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “It’s not how I planned this fight to go. I showed my guts. I showed what I can bring to the table. I’m just having fun, maybe a bit too much fun.

“Next time I come in, I like to put on finishes. A win is a win but next time I’ll put on a better show. He further said in excitement: “There is only one thing I want, I will get that title. That’s all that matters.

Abu Dhabi, Oct. 21, I know they’re coming to Abu Dhabi, that’s my people. “Give me that fight, [Alexandre] Pantoja-[Brandon] Moreno, whoever wins that fight, I want to be next. I’m next. Let’s go”.

Amir Albazi continues to be undefeated in the UFC; he now has a professional record of 17-1 and is currently on a 6 match winning streak. It will be very interesting to see if UFC fulfils his wish to fight for the title in Abu Dhabi.
