Colby Covington is among the rare people who can't see Jon Jones as the G.O.A.T. He backs his statements with valid reasoning and explains why Jon Jones does not deserve to be entitled as the best. Inside the UFC octagon, Jon Jones has achieved phenomenal success that probably no fighter may ever be able to match up to; Covington speaks about him as a fighter outside the cage too.

Interestingly, Colby Covington and Jon Jones had known each other since their college times and were good friends, but it all flipped before anyone could even notice; from his recent statement, he does not seem to have much respect for Jon Jones.

Colby Covington's thoughts on Jon Jones

Recently in an interview with MSCS Media, the top welterweight contender Colby Covington speaks about the heavyweight king Jon Jones and explains why he does not consider him to be the greatest fighter.

He mentions that there's a large portion of people who share the same opinion as him. "That's opinion-based," Covington said, as quoted by mmafighting.com."That's whoever's opinion that was writing that from ESPN that day. That's cool, that's your opinion but there's probably 20, 30, 40 million people in America that don't think the opposite.

People in the Republican party respect people that are blue-collar, that have a clean slate, that aren't breaking the law, doing these violent acts". Covington further said: "Everybody knows the multiple steroid tests that he failed so how can you call yourself a clean-cut athlete and the greatest of all time when you cheated on multiple steroid tests and broke many laws? For me, the greatest fighter of all time has to be a good fighter in the cage and outside the cage".

Jon Jones is expected to fight one more time in the UFC octagon against top heavyweight fighter Stipe Miocic, it could potentially take place this year, and it will be interesting to see if Jones can show the world one more time that he alone is the greatest of all time.
