Sean O’Malley is pretty ambitious about the future; after accomplishing one of the greatest achievements of becoming the UFC bantamweight champion, O’Malley now looks forward to making noise in the world of boxing.

He firm-mindedly believes that he will share the ring with Gervonta Davis for a boxing match. O’Malley wants to make it happen as soon as possible, and it is worth knowing that a potential boxing match won’t be his first as he has made his boxing debut in 2016 and his professional boxing record is 1-0 (1 knockout).

O’Malley wants the UFC to support it and make it happen just the way they did for Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather.

Sean O’Malley on fighting Gervonta Davis

The new UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley keenly wants to face Gervonta Davis and confidently addresses that the match between the two will happen.

“I also wouldn’t mind knocking out Gervonta Davis, and I know people are going to go, ‘Ooh, you’re a wannabe Conor.’ I’m telling you, that fight is going to happen,” O'Malley said as quoted by

“I feel like it could happen sooner than later, but I also know, OK, UFC is down to get behind stuff like that if it’s big enough. With that performance, we’re getting close, but maybe I have to go out there, win a couple more fights, win another belt, I don’t know if he’s even considered a big enough star for the UFC to let that happen.

O’Malley further said: It’ll happen. I don’t really follow boxing, but I’ve heard of Gervonta Davis, I think he’s undefeated. I want to have crazy, massive fights. That **** gets me excited. I love that stuff.

There’s no stars in the bantamweight division. Gervonta, you can consider him almost a star, and that’s what gets me excited. Me vs. Gervonta would be ******* massive”.
