Dustin Poirier is not interested in fighting Conor McGregor for a quadrilogy bout because of the negative energies that come with it. Poirier's previous encounter with McGregor was far from cordial, and both fighters had serious hate for each other.

The fight didn't conclude well; Poirier won the match because Conor McGregor snapped his ankle, it was a doctor stoppage TKO victory for Poirier. That seems like unfinished business to many. Poirier isn’t motivated to entertain it.

The only thing that matters to him at this moment is the prestigious UFC lightweight belt that is currently under Islam Makhachev’s possession.

“I think that ship has sailed,” Poirier said, as quoted by mmajunkie.usatoday.com. “All I want is the UFC lightweight championship. I don’t feel the need to fight him again at all,I don’t need that (bad) energy in my life”.
