Dustin Poirier: If I fight Colby Covington, we’re both going to jail

Colby Covington seems to have wanted to fight Dustin Poirier for a long time, but Dustin has denied that there will ever be a fight between them and obviously does not want to be in the ring with Colby “I would never fight Colby in an Octagon where there’s finances on the line.

If I fight Colby, we’re both going to jail. I’m going to jail,” Poirier told reporters, as quoted by bloodyelbow “I’m not gonna fight him in the Octagon. He’s not making money off of my career and what I’ve done.

This is something different. You will never see me fight Colby Covington in the UFC”.

Dustin Poirier on Conor McGregor fight

In addition, a few weeks ago, Dustin Poirier denied that there would be a new fight with Conor McGregor.

Apparently he did what he wanted, and he doesn't intend to be in the ring with him anymore. Dustin thinks his statistics speak for themselves. “Me and Conor have history,” Poirier told reporters at Saturday’s UFC 271 event in Houston.

“Fighting him at (1)45, then bumping up and fighting him seven years later, beating him, and even that fight, I’m probably not going to fight Conor again. I don’t really want to fight Conor again. For me, that door is closed.

“The only reason I’d do it is for money. I beat him two times in a row. Can I best my two performances? Can I knock him out quicker? Can I 10-7 him? I mean what can I do? I’ve done it. If I do it again, it’s just for money, right?” We will see what Dustin Poirier's plans are in the coming period and what kind of fight awaits him.

Dustin seems to be in the best shape so far, and many will have a problem if they want to stop him. Still, let's wait and see what happens
