Stephanie McMahon becomes WWE Chairwoman

Stephanie McMahon temporarily replaced Vince McMahon after the latter resigned as WWE President and CEO following the investigation into the controversial allegations against him. Stephanie released an internal statement to WWE personnel regarding the situation.

Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston posted two tweets reporting this message from Stephanie to WWE staff. Stephanie said she is returning for a new role and is looking forward to working with some of the highest profiles and all of the other staff.

"I will return from my leave and take on the role of interim president and CEO. I love our company and am thrilled to continue working with our President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan and our Chief Financial & Administrative Officer Frank Riddick.

And of course, I'm looking forward to working with all of you. My door is always open."

The message to the fans on Twitter

"Until the investigation into the recent allegations is concluded, I am honored to take on the role of interim president and CEO. I love @WWE and everything it continues to do to entertain billions of people around the world."
