Ric Flair: "Roman Reigns is the only one I wanted to face"

The man to beat in WWE is undoubtedly Roman Reigns, current WWE and Universal Champion and therefore the undisputed champion of the federation's main roster. As one of the most famous catchphrases in the world of pro-wrestling says, owned by the character we are about to tell you about If you want to be the Man, you've got to beat the Man, or if you want to be the man, you gotta beat the man.

We are obviously talking about the Nature Boy, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who in the last episode of his personal podcast, the To Be The Man podcast wanted to talk about the match he never had but which he misses in life: the one with Roman Reigns.

Ric said: "Not when I was active, but the guy I always wished I could fight, even in my 50s is Roman. He's the only guy I wished I could wrestle but couldn't, because otherwise I've wrestled everyone. Not in my prime, but at least I'd like a chance to be with them in the ring."

Ric Flair and Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania

In one of the last episodes of his podcast, Ric Flair also wanted to talk about Roman Reigns' match against Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania, with Charlotte Flir's father who said he doesn't think anyone can add to the fight, saying: "I think only Roman and Cody will be left to main event WrestleMania.

Three man matches can be good but they are meaningless especially if the champion is not pinned and in such a match he might not be pinned. However, I'm sure they'll make sure it's a great match. I think Cody deserves that title.

Roman has done an outstanding job so far, so much so that if they still let him have the title, he will continue to dominate further. I would like to see Cody win anyway because it would be something historic since his father has never managed to win a maximum title."
