Deontay Wilder

Deontay Wilder is an American boxer, winner of the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. As a professional he was WBC world champion from 2015 to 2020. He was the WBC heavyweight champion of the world from 2015 to 2020 until he was dethroned by Tyson Fury on February 22, 2020. Known for the devastating power of his punches, Wilder currently has an 89.4% KO rate , the highest in the history of the category.

He only began practicing boxing in 2005, when his daughter's illness, spinal malformation, forced him to abandon his studies in a hurry to try everything with a drastic entry into the world of boxing. He thus tries to become a boxer, also with excellent results. Wilder has many boxers as idols including Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.
