Helmut Marko

Helmut Marko work in Formula 1 as a sports consultant for the Red Bull Racing team. After his retirement as a driver, Marko focused on his management career in motorsport. He became responsible for the youth talent program for Red Bull and discovered many young talents, including Sebastian Vettel, currently one of the most famous Formula 1 drivers. Marko is known for his direct and often controversial approach, but is also recognized for his ability to spot potential in aspiring pilots.

Furthermore, Marko has been actively involved in the management of the Red Bull Racing team, providing strategic advice and support. He played a key role in the success of the team, which won numerous constructors' and drivers' titles in the 2010s.  Born on 27 April 1943 in Austria, Marko has had a very varied career in motorsport, both as a driver and as a manager. As a driver, Marko had a brief but intense experience in Formula 1 in the 1970s, racing for teams including BRM and McLaren. Despite some promising results, such as a victory in the 1972 Spanish Grand Prix, his driving career ended early due to a facial injury during a race in 1972.
