Florida Panthers

Florida Panthers are a NFL team. The Panthers' first NHL game ended in a draw against the Chicago Blackhawks, while their first win came against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Panthers finished their first season breaking the record for the best first year in league history, with 33 wins and narrowly missing the playoffs. In 2003 they hosted the All-Star game, which the Western Conference team won that year.

They play in the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, in the Miami, Florida metropolitan area. They are members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League. The team colors are blue, gold and red. In 1992 the National Hockey League approved the creation of two new teams, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and, thanks to the initiative of Florida millionaire Wayne Huizenga, founder of Blockbuster Video, the Miami Florida Panthers.
