Houston Astros

The Houston Astros is a MLB team. Over the years they have had several baseball stars among their ranks, such as Craig Biggio, Jeff Bagwell and Carlos Correa. Additionally, the team had some of the most dominant pitchers in the league, such as Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole. The Astros' victory in the 2017 World Series was especially significant for the team and its fans. After overcoming a bad phase of stagnation in 2000, the team worked hard to build a competitive squad and finally reached the coveted goal.

The team is part of MLB and is a member of the American League West Division. The team was founded in 1962 and was initially called the Houston Colt .45s before changing its name to the Astros in 1965, when it moved to a new stadium, the Astrodome. The Astros have become one of the most successful teams in MLB history, reaching the World Series for the first time in 2005 and winning it in 2017. The Astros' success is due in large part to their roster of talented players.
