All Elite Wrestling, or AEW, is an American wrestling federation based in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, founded on November 5, 2018 by entrepreneur Tony Khan and his father Shahid; wrestlers Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega are the executive vice presidents of the federation.
The first event produced by All Elite Wrestling, Double or Nothing, aired on pay-per-view on May 25, 2019, while the following October 2, the first weekly episode of AEW Dynamite was broadcast on TNT, the main show of the federation, together with AEW Collision, which had its television debut in June 2023.
Since its founding in 2018, by virtue of economic and broadcast availability, it has been considered the second most important wrestling promotion in the United States, as well as WWE's first effective competitor since World Championship Wrestling.
Since 2022 it has been closely related to the historic US promotion Ring of Honor, by virtue of the latter's purchase by President Tony Khan.
