Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a former American boxer, winner of the bronze medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics as an amateur, while as a professional he was WBC champion in five different weight categories. Considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mayweather was named Fighter of the Decade for the decade 2010-2019 by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). In 2017, after fighting his last match against Conor McGregor, he finished his career with a record of 50 victories and zero defeats.

In addition to his successes in the ring, Mayweather is known for being one of the most in-demand and lucrative pay-per-view athletes of all time. Mayweather has attacked the UFC several times and the discipline of mixed martial arts in general, which has experienced dizzying growth in the media at the beginning of the new millennium. In 2005, a month after the fight with Arturo Gatti, where he earned the record sum of $80,000,000, Mayweather was accused of violence against his ex-girlfriend Josie Harris. She later admits to having lied and she testifies that she was never hit by her ex-boyfriend. The jury thus declares Mayweather innocent.
